Technical Highlights

The project demonstrates more than gameplay—it represents collaborative development on an inherited software system.

Inherited Codebase

The Spring 2026 team began with an existing Unity project and had to understand its architecture before safely extending it.

Multiplayer Networking

GONet provides synchronization for multiplayer game state using a host/client architecture.

Steam Integration

Steamworks.NET supports lobby integration for hosting and joining online races.

Racing AI

The Spring 2026 team improved computer-controlled racers to create more robust and challenging gameplay.

Testing & Documentation

Development included multiplayer testing, requirements documentation, architecture materials, release preparation, and continued-development resources.

Stakeholder Collaboration

The project incorporated input from the KSU–SPSU Alumni Association to support the historical and development direction of the game.
